We have proudly been serving our neighborhood for more than a decade. we provide a warm, welcoming environment for inclusive, thrifty shopping for all and to connect our neighbors in need both housed and unhoused with much needed resources.. We have partnered with several local community health organizations in our area, to offer clothing support through our voucher program. This allows our voucher patrons to be able to shop our store with dignity. We also have an area in the store that is always stocked with toiletries and undergarments, please reach out or come in to donate. We are volunteer powered by some of the Westside's finest! Helping Hands Mission Store is a locally focused, volunteer powered, community funded Re-Sale shop located in the heart of the Westside in Grand Rapids, MI running on 8 years strong! We believe in inclusion of all humans, body positivity and our local community, who we consider to be our much loved extended family.
We at Helping Hands Mission Thrift Store believe that the greatest good starts at home AND that it takes a village. Helping Hands is a non-affiliated, self funded nonprofit. ALL of our funding comes from the donations and sales through our store and website. Because of this, we donate our proceeds to various socially focused local charities as well as running a clothing voucher program for our own neighbors.
Helping Hands' Clothing Voucher program helps to provide clothing to our neighbors in need. We partner with several local organizations to distribute the slips to the community which can be redeemed in our store with dignity.
Helping Hands has been an established nonprofit organization since 2000.
